About
Ian Shane was born in Evansville, Indiana. He was educated at Indiana University and the University of Southern Indiana.
Ian published his first novel, Radio Radio in 2008. Eleven years after his debut, he released his second novel, Postgraduate. His third book, In Ten Years, was released in August 2021. He is currently writing a musical memoir, titled Sundry Notes of Music. He wrote a pop-culture blog, titled The Two Penny Opera, and currently pens the semi-regular music/pop culture blog, Liner Notes. His writing has been compared to Aaron Sorkin, Nick Hornby, and Jonathan Tropper.
In addition, Ian has written three screenplays, a television pilot on spec, and a one-act play. Ian was also featured in the inaugural issue of Smudge Magazine.
Radio, however, is his first love. He has created three Internet radio stations; 3wE (2003), The Voice of Brown College (2006), and I-82 (2014).
He currently lives in Denver with his two cats and his massive music collection.
