It\u2019s been busy on this side, and the odds are that it\u2019s not going to be any different until Thanksgiving. I will be efforting to keep up with everything with this being the busy season. Plus, I\u2019m dealing with some lingering brain fog. So, there is that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Number 3 Star: Jane\u2019s Addiction &#8211; True Love<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Janes Addiction - &quot;True Love&quot; (Official Lyric Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0nJ-pYlt6Qc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s so much to unpack here. Firstly, this is the second single attached to Jane\u2019s Addiction\u2019s reunion tour. The first, \u201cImminent Redemption,\u201d did absolutely nothing for me, and considering it was the first song from the band in 11 years, it was massively disappointing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I\u2019d be remiss if I didn\u2019t mention the incident, although I don\u2019t really want to. I\u2019m just glad Vegas sportsbooks didn\u2019t have \u201cBand most likely to get into a fistfight on stage and cancel their reunion tour,\u201d because I would have put all my money on Oasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This has not been a banner year for Jane\u2019s Addiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, \u201cTrue Love\u201d has a different feel. It shows a bit of maturity and a side of the band I hadn\u2019t expected. Don\u2019t misunderstand me; this doesn\u2019t have half the gravitas that \u201cMountain Song,\u201d \u201cJane Says,\u201d or \u201cBeen Caught Stealing,\u201d but it is a breath of fresh air, and it resists the urge to be a watered-down clone of a song from the glory days. Definitely worth a spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Number 2 Star: Company Culture &#8211; Lambrini Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lambrini Girls - Company Culture (Official Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-kz_CrB0Vf0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lambrini Girls are undoubtedly my favorite band I\u2019ve heard for the first time this year. Following the massive single \u201cBody of Mine,\u201d this Brighton duo gives us their views on\u2026well, company culture. Think of it as the punk take on \u201c9 to 5.\u201d It delves into male co-workes condescending to women, sexual harassment, and how a lot of women don\u2019t feel supported by HR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Incidentally, \u201cMichale, I don\u2019t want to suck you off on my lunch break\u201d is the best lyric penned in the last couple of decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Number 1 Star: Rusty Cutter &#8211; Wax Head<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rusty Cutter\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UV3R0aogZCw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wax Head is a drummer-led punk quartet out of Manchester.
